Easy to use and fun to have!
I bought this camera back in 2022 post-pandemic cause you never know when life will hit you again 😅
This was my entry into mirrorless full frame cameras where I previously used an DSLR EOS 77D and then an M50. The feel of this camera is amazing, ergonomically fit for me and being mirrorless makes it lightweight and more compact. It’s got 30MP! I’ve got it paired with a Sigma 35mm 1.4 but once I get enough saved up, I’d want to move to the RF lenses - they look slick!
Although the camera is discontinued since June 2023, if you can get your hands on one, you won’t regret it!

Oldie but a Goldie
This may not be the latest and greatest camera Canon has to offer, but despite this it is an absolute powerhouse! I use it for both photo and video and it excels in both. The 30.3mp sensor is crispy, the 4k (even though it's cropped) is great for social media and the fact that it shoots C-LOG just tops it off, it makes all the difference with colour control. The controls are easy to use and most are programmable- which, in combination with the RF series lenses is great for efficiency while shooting. There are many other great features in this camera (colours, silent shooting capability, battery life) but overall, I would highly recommend this to either an adventurous beginner or an intermediate- especially when you're just starting commercially. Great value!

I love my EOS R
I have loved my Canon EOS R for 4 years. It was a great upgrade from my Canon 70D. The features, such as being able to move the focus point by sliding my finger on the screen is a game changer, and I struggle with not being able to do this, if I use my 70D. The RF lenses are so sharp and produce fantastic quality shots. But with the RF to EF adapter, I am able to use my EF lenses.
I am still finding more features on my EOS R. I am looking forward to using the time-lapse on the Movie mode, for Astro timelapse.

Great image quality
The Canon EOS R is a formidable mirrorless camera that combines impressive image quality with advanced features. Its full-frame sensor delivers stunning results, especially in low light. The autofocus system is fast and accurate, making it great for both photography and video. However, some users may find the single card slot limiting, and the battery life could be better. Overall, it's a solid choice for enthusiasts and professionals alike looking to enter the mirrorless world.

Great lightweight entry level mirrorless camera
When I purchased this camera about 2 years ago I was not fully aware of its capabilities . I am still learning & discovering new ways & new settings to use .
Only using EF lenses at the moment with an adapter but I am more than happy with the operation. My only "grumble" is that it is a bit hungry battery wise. But overall it does what I want & when it doesn't its operator error (should read & understand the manual)

Canon EOS R the best camera I’ve owned.
What a fantastic camera, I upgraded from a Canon EOS 600d And couldn’t believe how much better the new Mirrorless system is, after taking some photos in the same area I took with old camera it is obviously more useable, after going through the settings and trialing different modes I can’t wait to get the family together for portrait shots, couldn’t be happier.

Amazing all round camera
I bought this last year. It is the perfect camera for people starting off with professional photography. Amazing quality of photos but not overly large files making transfer and everything else longer. Doesn’t have issues with overheating and also is a powerhouse with my very demanding sport photography. Absolutely no faults with this camera.

Great camera!
I upgraded to an EOS R last year, and wish I’d moved across to mirrorless sooner! Takes great shots! Only downside is that there’s no in body image stabilisation, so video isn’t great. However, as a photographer, that doesn’t bother me too much, & if you’re looking for high quality images, this one’s great!
